Alla Tkachuk

In 2006 Alla went for the first time to Kenya to paint members of different ethnic groups and got involved in teaching art to their children. She discovered that there is no art education in schools and being encouraged by teachers and children's' talents, decided to set up Mobile Art School in Kenya (MASK)

In her own work as an artist she is dealing with notions of human identity in private, political and business worlds. Over the last few years she has painted widely-acclaimed images of Prince Charles featured on front page of The Times and in other leading international newspapers, had lead a pioneering series of seminars on modern portraiture @Changing Face of Portraiture' at the National Portrait Gallery in London, and painted a series of 20th century dictators which were shown on Europe's largest digital screen top of the Axel Springer building in Berlin.  This series became Critic’s Choiceon the Saatchi Online Gallery.  She is now engaged in exploring transformation of production and consumption of representational art through digital media and technologies producing first 3D painted portraits. Alla exhibits internationally and her work has featured in numerous publications and on TV.
