MASK's 'Walking' exhibition!
Children of Githirwa
Secondary School holding their paintings high above their heads walked into Kongoni village
and, accompanied by a crowd of small kids, marched along its main 'street'
! "What is this? - shouted the women
from their little side road shops. "Exhibition!" - we shouted back.
"What's for?" "To show the children's talents!"
"Ahh!,- the women sighted in approval. As this was pre-Easter time,
our children painted paintings about Easter and
decorated bare walls of the village's church with them after this exhibition.

"Being Self"
The exhibition of Lariak Club art works was held at Ngumo Boys
Secondary School in Nyahuhuru, West Laikipia during the Forum organised by NGO
called APHIA TWO. The aim of the Forum was to create awareness of talents among
the youth and to encourage the youth to develop a self acceptance which is
crucial in defining the self-identity. MASK's volunteer teacher Thomas
Kanyoko spoke to the youth at the Forum on the topic "Being self" emphasising
that one should define his or her talent and execute it without imitating
blindly and without losing the focus. MASK work was highly appreciated.
